The joint work of NIBIO and PGI related to the camera installation in Svanhovd

In November, 2021, within the framework of the international project “Aurora Borealis Monitoring System for the Needs of the Tourism Business” which is being implemented under the Kolarctic CBC Program 2014-2020 the working group from Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) installed the sky observation camera in the Nature Reserve Pasvik Visitors’ Centre (Svanhovd, Norway).

The camera was connected to the internal server of the Nature Reserve Pasvik and tested successfully. The IT personnel kept in touch with the expert from PGI Boris Kozelov to collaborate on the provision of the Internet connection of the camera and online streaming of the received picture.

The Nature Reserve Pasvik (Norway) is the second location where such the camera has installed within the framework of the project, soon followed by Finland. The link to the live feed is here.
