PGI staff held several educational lectures on the Svalbard
During a business trip to the Spitsbergen archipelago, employees of the Polar Geophysical Institute Yu.V. Balabin and A.V. Roldugin conducted several educational lectures for the staff of the AARI, the Hydrometeorological Observatory, the employees of the Consulate General, students and teachers of the secondary school in Barentsburg. The topics of the lectures included information on optical observations, physics of auroral phenomena, measurements of cosmic rays in polar latitudes, as well as the importance of unique instruments located in Barentsburg for fundamental scientific research.
