Employees of the cosmic ray sector of the PGI took part in the 37th All-Russian Conference on Cosmic Rays
Employees of the cosmic ray sector of the Polar Geophysical Institute Evgeny A. Maurchev, Alexey V. Germanenko, Yuri V. Balabin took part in the 37th All-Russian Conference on Cosmic Rays, held on June 27 – July 2, 2022 at Moscow State University.
Evgeny A. Maurchev took the third place in the competition of reports among young scientists.
The following reports were presented at the conference by the staff of PGI:
- Evgeny Maurchev. Estimation of the rate of ionization of the Earth’s atmosphere by solar cosmic ray particles and calculation of the equivalent dose,
- Yuri Balabin. Anomalous event GLE66 (29.10.2003) and its comparison with other events in the fall of 2003,
- Yuri Balabin. Spectral measurements of gamma radiation during precipitation,
- Yuri Balabin. High-latitude muon Telescope (arch. Svalbard, Barentsburg),
- Alexey Germanenko. The first event in solar cosmic rays in the 25th cycle: GLE73.
