EMPLOYEES OF THE POLAR GEOPHYSICAL INSTITUTE TOOK PART IN THE XII INTERNATIONAL FORUM “ARCTIC: PRESENT AND FUTURE”
Konstantin G. Orlov, Ph.D., Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the PGI, Ph.D., and Vladimir Borisovich Belakhovsky, Senior Researcher of the PGI, Ph.D., took part in the XII International Forum “The Arctic: Present and Future”, held on December 8-9, 2022 in St. Petersburg (at the EXPOFORUM Exhibition Center).
The XII International forum “Arctic: Present and Future” was attended by more than 5,000 people in offline and online format from 80 countries of the world. During the two-day business program, representatives of government authorities, heads of large Russian companies, leading experts of the scientific community, the media and civil society discussed sustainable development, international cooperation and new opportunities in the Arctic zone during global geopolitical and economic changes.
The Forum was organized by interregional public organization “Association of Polar Explorers”.
