The staff of the Polar Geophysical Institute took part in two major scientific events.
From April 8-10, Polina Barteneva and Pavel Setsko represented the Institute in St. Petersburg at the Seventh International Scientific and Practical Conference “Letter and Number: Libraries on the Way to Digitalization” (BiblioPiter – 2026). Polina Igorevna made a presentation “The Library of the Kola Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences: yesterday, today, tomorrow”, which was devoted to the history of the formation of the book collection, unique books from the personal collections of scientists, the current state of the funds, the current activities of the library and plans for the future.
From April 21 to 24, Polina Igorevna made a presentation at the XXVI All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Days of Science at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI — 2026″ in Ozersk (Chelyabinsk Region). Participation in the conferences helped to strengthen professional ties and present the library’s achievements to the general scientific community.
