PGI employees made a scientific expedition to the Svalbard archipelago

From September 13 to October 5, 2022, the staff of the Polar Geophysical Institute made a scientific expedition to the Svalbard Archipelago, to the observatory of the Barentsburg Research Institute.

During the scientific expedition, the modernization and adjustment of the scientific equipment for the registration of cosmic rays, ionospheric parameters, electromagnetic variations was carried out: a neutron monitor, a gamma detector, magnetometers, a receiver of UNF electromagnetic signals, a receiver of GLONASS/GPS satellite signals. Optical devices for recording auroras were put into operation.
